Luongo is a top goalie in the league, and Edler had 49 points last season, and is also young. So in the future, this may benefit the Canucks if Duchene regains form, or it may be a winner for Colorado, as they can take on Lu's contract no problem with all their cap space. I
t really does address Colorado's weaknesses
, and allows Vancouver to get something worth while in return for Lu.
If anything, this would probably is lop-sided for Colorado.
So, please give me feedback as to why it is so terrible?
No it doesn't.
Duchene is a top young player, regardless of his point totals.
O'Reilly is a top 2-way forward in the league at a young age. "Only" a 55 point guy? No. That's outstanding for the type of player he is, and he will only get better.
Colorado doesn't need a goalie.
