I met a young boy today sitting on a rock playing with a twig while his father shot his bow at the archery range.
I said to him, don't you have a bow? He shook his head, no. I said, would you like to shoot? He shook his head I walked over to my car and looked for a bow and a half dozen arrows that might fit him and I brought them to him.
I said, do you know how to shoot? He shook his head no. I said come over here I will teach you.

As we walked over to the targets the father came running over yelling what are you doing??? I said he wants to learn to shoot. The father said he told you that? I said yes he did...the father said he has severe autism and can barely communicate. I said so? He said so he didn't tell you anything.

I looked at the kid and said you want to shoot right? He shook his yes...the father allowed me to teach. After the lesson the Dad told me it was one of the best days of his life. As was mine.
