Regier traveled to Halifax, Nova Scotia, to see first-round pick Mikhail Grigorenko play for Russia in the final two games of the four-game Canada-Russia challenge, a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the famous Summit Series. Grigorenko is still working back from a bout of mono that hindered him at the end of his junior season with Quebec.
"I thought he was good in Game Three and looked a little tired in Game Four," Regier said. "I saw some of the video from [the two games in] Russia and I think like all young players he's a work in progress. We see some things he's strong in and some things that he's going to have to improve."
