Let's all take a moment to thank Gilman for his summer of greatness. Signing Garrison at below market value, signing Raymond and Volaptti for lower than last yrs cap hit, signing Lack at a lower cap hit than previous years, and finally - for singing Schneider before he actually knows if he'll be the starter next yr. Genius.
Lack was signed to a two way deal that paid him 900K if he played at the NHL level, which he did not, and something around 60-80K to play in the AHL.
Last two years he earned that 60-80K per in the AHL, not 900K.
This year, if he plays in the NHL he will make $650K in the NHL or if he plays in the AHL, about 80K again.
The year after, he gets a guaranteed $850K since he's on a one way NHL deal. His cap hit, however, will be $750K when he's playing in the NHL.
