That's right. I would be a lot more comfortable with a Kiprusoff or Toskala in nets if I were the Avs.
Theodore never eliminated Boston. Hockey was a team sport last time I checked. He was unbelievable in games 5 and 6 in 2002, good in the first 4, and subpar to OK in 2004. Not more. Never.
He hadn't "one lousy season". That would be wonderful... No, he had a lousy season every other year. Great rush at the end of 99-00. OK in 00-01. Unbelievable in 01-02 (except for the last games against the Canes). Awful in 02-03 (we missed the playoffs despite several career years for our forwards). Strong in 03-04. Horrendous this year.
I guess the odds are he will rebound next year. And suck again the year after... Except that, this time, he's got a 3-year contract. Might suck next year too so. Only contract years are worth playing...
