His cap his is $1.175 million, i.e. $1,175,000, not $1,750,000. Also his ability to play any forward position on any line is his most appealing asset. He is a professional utility player. He has a lot of experience, plays hard, and typically chips in during the playoffs. Obviously, the Kings are looking to make some roster adjustments, but I also don't see him being ushered out the door. Also, he is loved in the locker room, though every one is in LA so that may not be saying much.
As far as his value, it would probably be about a 3rd round pick or so. The Kings paid a 2nd, but he has tapped out his potential, but he is still established, versatile, and a guaranteed roster fill since he can adapt to any line.
