I will give my opinion on the day as I was there for the entire day

Team Murphy

lost this morning 5-3. Ritchie was dominant at times and was driving the net hard. Nigro scored on a Ritchie rebound. Fitze scored but was knocked to the ice a few times by Maguire which was impressive. Not sure why Fitze is here still. Hatcher scored a nice goal and was working the whole game. Kinda surprised me to say the least. Varga stepped up and was very solid. Robson in net and didn't have much help other then Varga. Robson has worked hard this summer and I can see him coming in sometime this year (prediction). Cornel was not good the first two periods and was poking at the puck. Was take off his feet very easily. I don't think he has gained any weight..Bolland looked good as well and looking forward to seeing him full time this year. Lorentz was on this team (I think). Looking like another Hatcher deal, didn't show too much. Findlay is also going to be good for us and competes hard in the corners.

Team Yzerman

won both games 5-3 and 4-1. Nosad and Ceresnek were the most dominant in both games. Nosad scored in both games and played with different lines in each game. KoekKoek looked like he is back in great shape and will prove to be dominant "captain" of this years team. Menard has some upside that's for sure. Looking forward to seeing him with Ritchie and Quine (I hope). Pierog was just regular in both games and didn't do any thing flashy. Maguire was good in both games. Won all his battles in the corners and shows the grit we've been talking about. Caused a few turn overs that turned into goals. Disappointed in Ulett, thought he would be fighting for a spot but it doesn't appear as though he has a lot of compete in him. Campagna almost found out what Seymour's fist looks like as he crossed checked him in the corner. again Nosad was the story of this teams and looks a lot stronger this year. Heitkamp not sure what to say.

Team Gainey

lost 4-1. Not allot off of this team to talk about. Quine was impressive and was showing his speed and skills every time he had the puck. Seymour was steady Eddie and is playing with confidence which can only translate to positive things this year. Mathers was skating wrecking ball the first two periods and was running over everyone that came close to him. He is a man out there that's for sure. Tanus was a little confused out there and obviously needs to learn the Canadian game. Betzold and Thompson were invisible and didn't show much at all. saw a few flashes from Racine that I was expecting but thinking this may be over his head this year.

goalies

Robson looks solid and could be pushing for a spot but at the end of the day I would imagine he will be in Lindsay. Giggy is the strongest in camp and looks like he could steal the show and be number one before we know it. D'agg had a rough game and let in some questionable goals. Needs to pick it up for the morning game.
