There's a huge cohort of talent that will be competing in Hamilton this year: Beaulieu, Tinordi, Ellis, Pateryn, Nattinen, Leblanc, Gallagher, Holland, etc. Some of those players will begin trickling up to the big club for real in 2013-2014, along with possibly Kristo, Galchenyuk.

By the way: The term surgical tanking was perfectly apposite. I immediately took it to mean a quick, aggressive repair of a serious condition that cannot be repaired through therapeutic or other long term methods.

So many here failed to understand the analogy. There was no need for the very long thread that resulted.
