It would not surprise me to see Lydman bounce back to close to 10-11 form and steal his spot alongside Fowler TBH. I've always thought they would make a good pair and if Beauchemin's play suffers somebody will need to step up and play top pairing minutes.
I think you make a good point. Lydman has been very solid when healthy. The last half of last year he looked much improved from the first half. He could easily step up this year, similar to his first year here. And if Beauch is still recovering they might very well swap spots.
