I don't think a Eric Brewer and Jason Bonsignore comparison is very valid. Bonsignore had 2 assists in his best season with the Oilers.. it was apparent that he wasn't going to reach his potential as he showed no "sparks" that he was about to breakout. On the other hand, Brewer has logged big time mintutes for us the past few seasons.. while he hasn't played like a number one d-man, he's certainly looked good enough most of the time to be in almost any teams top-4. Likewise, he keeps giving us fans and management glimpses of the player he could become. While most of us aren't content with his development thus far, most of agree that he can definitely still become a dominant top 2 d-man.
