i saw enough of the playoffs to know this guy gives up the puck everytime he gets it and very weak along the boards, not to mention he'll get struck by lightning before he carries a puck into the offensive zone.

He got those chance with his great hockey sense and good positioning. He also created a lot of chances for others with his vision and passing skills. He worked very hard and controled the puck even along the board. He was even good on playoffs during the serie.
Considering he was the only C dangerous offensively and got extra coverage he did VERY well.
He's one of the very few Habs that played at his best even if he got unlucky. To blame him specificaly doesn't make sense.
