The Providence Bruins have signed forward Alden Hirschfeld to an AHL contract. Hirschfeld, 24, is a four-year product of Miami University (Ohio) where he recorded 70 points on 35 goals and 35 assists.

Per, Elite Prospects, Max MacKay is also known as Max Capuano and is the nephew of Bridgeport's parent team the NY Islanders.

It's clear that he got this contract because of his connections. I had no clue this AtJHL league existed, before checking his profile in eliteprospects.
