but again, with Tino, it made it easy to say goodbye when they were able to outbid the rest of the planet for an in-his-prime power hitter in Giambi. Why not let Tino go and let Johnson take over, which is what we'd like to see in RangerLand? I guess mostly because a) they were able to outbid everybody for Giambi and b) the Yankees needed to hold a trade bait card that consisted of a young, promising, and cheap player.
