What happens to contracts if the whole season is wiped out?

If we lose the whole season due to the expiring CBA, do contracts that players are currently under just push back a year? (For example, Turris' last year of his 1.2 mill deal would be the next season actually played) Or is that year of their contract 'burned off' (i.e. it would be like they played the season, though obviously the teams wouldn't have paid them), and the next season they would just be one year closer to the end of their contract? I assume its the former, not the latter, just curious though.
