Alfie will need a new contract, everyone will be one year closer to free agency. Hasek signed a two year (though my research says only 1 year) contract with us, but one year was burned, so we had him for only 1 year.
Especially bad for us then, as the lockout occured at the Sens peak performance. We lost a year when everyone was in their prime, and everyone was one year closer to free agency, so they could leave, just a waste of a year by all accounts.
