This is exactly what it comes down to; every year that passes, the personal time window closes just a bit more, and doesn't start to open again until all of your responsibilities slow down when you're in your late 50s, by then you'll have maybe a handful of friends to look through your trip photos and comment on how much fun it must have been. You'll regret that you never took advantage of this time in your youth. You'll reflect back on this post often while you're waiting on the phonecalls from your children that never come, and you'll say 'Why didn't I listen to Dave?'. You'll spend your last days in some blemish on a map like Sarasota, begging for the opportunity to do it all over, BUT YOU CAN'T.
