Well this will be an interesting conversation:

I can either take an unpaid leave (cant afford) or take a reduced-pay leave though the Family Leave Act (also cant afford). I will likely have to figure a way to use my personal/sick days to do this.

If its true that first kids come early, about 10 days would do!
