Brisebois' not a leader IMO and that "A" might have been an unwanted pressure keeping him from only concentrating on his game. It might be overlooked as a rather insignificant thing but that "A" means you take on somewhat of an increase in leadership responsability which doesn't cope well with Brisebois' personality.

CJ had the intelligence to use him only at what he does best while letting him regain his confidence. Now he's playing alot and looking like a legit top-4 Dman.

but him with a more defensive defenseman and let him play his style......
also he can read and I think the pressure of performing with the BIG contract (which IMHO put a bulls-eye on his back) and trying to be the number one D was too much for him
