You protect yourself from that by signing a UFA Dman once the busts become clear and then you might feel pressure to draft more blueliners.
there is no way to know this at all, also what most people are saying is we lacked major D prospects outside Brodin and Dumba and that they would have liked it if Wild selected a dman over a project winger
