10(t). Goaltender Anton Forsberg
Age: 19
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 176 lbs
How Acquired: Selected in 7th round (188th overall), 2011 NHL Draft

Analysis: With their last pick of the 2011 NHL Draft, the Jackets selected little known goaltender Anton Forsberg from the MODO J20 program in Sweden. Forsberg would step up his play in a huge way after being drafted, starring for his junior team and even seeing solid minutes with the big club. Forsberg will be headed back to Sweden for at least another year, and is still considered a long-term prospect for the Jackets. The big difference this year, however, is there are less people asking "who" or "why", and more people actually taking notice of his solid potential.

Pros: Size, good lateral movement, calm demeanor
Cons: Rebound control needs work, still a long way away from the NHL, talent is still very raw

Realistic Expectations: I think Forsberg has the potential to be a big steal for us at this particular draft ... if we give him the time and patience that it takes with a young goaltender. After seeing two goalies drafted this year (Dansk, Korpisalo), all three should have plenty of time to grow and show what they can do. I know we all hope that any of the three will develop into a quality starter for us, and Forsberg's potential is every bit as good as Dansk or Korpisalo. Add Allen York to the mix, and we actually have a pretty decent young stable of goalies.

Stylistic Comparison: Jonas Hiller
