The payroll cap question is an interesting one. IF the Caps pick up $4m of Jagr's salary per year, is that money being used on Jagr or on other players? That is an interesting legal question. IF the league decides that $4m is on the Caps cap number, the Rangers will send less to the Caps. IF that $4m is on the Rangers cap number, the Rangers will send the Caps more Rangers payroll to reach the agreed numbers.

Carter is probably in that mix somewhere.
There was NEVER a deal in place for Jagr. Jagr's contract is a CBA killer...the contract this year is doable but two or three years down the road Jagr's contract will kill a team. Jagr's contract will make him untradeable,,,once and for all , note the Rangers don't want Jagr.


I agree with Singintheblues...Sather will listen to offeres but isn't going to give him away. He is starting to play with passion again.
