Though he would get paid less, I think Schenn should go to Europe. He'll have a job waiting for him back in the U.S. later this year or next and he can probably get paid to live in Europe as a 21 year old. The competition in the SEL (if they decided to allow NHL players) or the SM-Liga is probably above the AHL or at least equal if it is a bad team. This is more of a what I would do thing, rather than what would be better for his development, though I can't see going to either of those leagues hurting him.He could also play in the KHL if a team will sign him because he played in one of the last two World Juniors. However, I don't see a KHL team being super excited about signing a non-native 18 point scorer with a lot of potential who won't be around for more than a year, but I could be entirely wrong.
