I always feel bad for Cloutier. Yes, he was objectively terrible goaltender, but when I look over at the modern Maple Leafs, its obvious Brian Burke was incapable of creating a goaltending environmental that wasn't dysfunctional. What Lombardi did to him was super dick, too, and I wonder how Clouts career would have gone with a good support system.


Anyways, no problem with him moving into a consultation role for the Canucks org. He's seen what dysfunction looks like and knows the pitfalls.

Un-freaking-believable. Just because a player didn't work out for us doesn't automatically make him the devil. Leave the character assassination for Ron Maclean.
