No, he's certainly not a good defensive player - I would never argue that. His lack of size and defense defenitely counter acts what he's able to bring on offense. But after seeing more then my fair share of Flyers teams just simply find no possible way to score once the playoffs roll around, I can't dismiss a guy who's been automatic points in his playoff career. You spot him to play to his strengths (PP1, good offensize zone matchups) and absorb the things he doesn't bring. To me, that's worth more then another mid-pair defenseman that are moved by the bucket full at the trade deadline every year for draft picks.
