That's quite the corporate spin. The nhlpa is offering major concessions in regards to % of league revenue. They are not looking to make gains, but to hold on to some of what they currently have, while the NHL rakes in record profits. It's Bettman and some of the owners who are looking to hammer the players and 'win' large.
IMO the players seem to be taking up the hockey mentality...the owners absolutely are insisting on a fight?..fine let's drop the gloves and really have at it. I don't blame them one bit.
