Video: 2012 All-American Prospects Game - Phil Housley

*Former NHL defenseman Phil Housley returns to the city where he spent eight of his 21 NHL seasons, only this time he'll be behind the bench rather than competing on the ice.

Housley will coach one of the two teams of American prospects taking part in the inaugural CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game that is taking place tonight in Buffalo, NY.* Housley was a first round pick of the Buffalo Sabres, the team hosting this event, back in 1982.* The offensively gifted Housley stepped right into the NHL from high school, spending nearly half of his career with the Sabres before being dealt to the Winnipeg Jets.* All told, Housley played for eight NHL teams while totaling 338 goals and 894 assists for 1232 points in 1495 games.* He is a member of the USA Hockey Hall of Fame, as well as the Buffalo Sabres Hall of Fame. read more
