*The two coaches in the inaugural CCM/USA Hockey All-American Prospects Game were two names not only associated with the past of the host team, the Buffalo Sabres, but they also carved out their own path to fame in the game of hockey.



For Phil Housley, he came into the game as a heralded high school player from Minnesota, one that would go on to play in nearly 1500 games in the NHL.* His offensive exploits landed him in both the USA Hockey Hall of Fame, as well as the Buffalo Sabres' Hall of Fame.
