Getting Pominville would be a healthy overpayment for any team. Getting Stafford would probably be the "cheapest" in terms of assets given up for him.
This post is entirely disingenuous. Vanek has averaged 63 pts/season over the last 5 year's, so saying he is a 65-70 point winger is a stretch. In fact, he's only hit 65 once in those 5 years, when he got 73. He's also averaged about 17 min/game during that stretch, so you are really going out if your way to stretch the truth. Vanek has never been the best conditioned athlete, so his TOI reflects that. If they pushed him, it would hurt more than help. Don't make him out to be something he's not.
