And here's another Blues-Flames deal.

In 1986, Calgary traded Ed Beers, Charlie Bourgeois, and Gino Cavallini to St. Louis. Beers would only play 24 games for the Blues, forced into retirement due to injury. Bourgeois and Cavallini would have decent careers as a bottom-pairing defenceman and a bottom-6 forward, respectively.

Calgary received Joey Mullen, Terry Johnson, and Rik Wilson. Johnson and Wilson were depth players, but Mullen would end up having 2 40+ goal seasons, 1 51-goal season, and a 36-goal season. He was also a key cog in the Flames' 1989 Cup run.
