It's one of those marathon games. There's the Canes players bench, there's New Jersey's bench, and then there is the Montreal Canadiens bench. It's a grueling battle between Carolina and Jersey and Carolina and the Habs. During intermissions, the Devils go to the locker rooms and meanwhile Carolina and Montreal continue their series because it's still undecided who is to advance. Even once the games between New Jersey and Carolina are over, Habs and the Canes just continue their series. The players haven't seen their families in over a week. The series has gone on for so long that Zednik and his gang have begun to play poker during Jersey and Cane action. It's pretty crazy, seeing the highlights yesterday because they showed Stall tying the game with 3 seconds left against New Jersey, but during the intermission break, TSN didn't show highlights of what went on between Habs and Carolina. It was one of those bench clearing brawls. It got pretty ugly to the point where Downey was showing Stall how to brush his teeth with the blade of his skates. Blood everywhere. But apart from that Kovalev is leading the series with 87 goals and 6 assists while Ribeiro is still looking for his first goal. Huet is really standing on his head but the series is still far from over. Doctors have predicted Koivu may be able to make it back into the line-up before the series is over. The one main concern of both teams is that they've been playing for so long that the condition of the ice has deteriorated to the point where the teams are skating on concrete. The NHL head office is unsure if it wants to postpone the following game due to hazardous conditions.
