Penn State did though it took the investment from a billionaire to do it but who's to say the Samueli's won't do the same thing in the near future? So Cal produces some of the best bantam and midget teams in the country and I think it's only a matter of time before the schools you mentioned partner up with the Kings and Ducks to start D-1 programs. I feel the Ducks' high school hockey program is designed specifically to one day have D-1 hockey here in not too distant future.
