Devane has the chance to be the AHL heavyweight champion, he's that tough. He was tough when the Leafs drafted him, he and Kassian were the unofficial/official champions of the OHL. waiting for him to develop has been an enternity but we are close in seeing our patience rewarded.

What has me excited is he really started showing he can be more than just be a tough guy 2 years ago, last season he has solid offensive numbers, and was a force killing penalties. He also is a leader in the room. The goal he scored at the rookie camp showed deft hands. There are a lot of things to like about Jamie's game, if Underhill has indeed lifted the coke machine off his back when he skates and he improves his skating, he can certainly be an important player for us. And fun to watch.
