I just think Mad Tom is a little over the top re: hops. It's like someone made a Black Forest cake, and just went nuts with the cherries.
Again, it's not a poorly made beer or anything, just not my cup of tea.
I feel silly saying "hops" so much in a single post, haha
You do know there are two distinct styles of IPA American/West Coast and the English version? Maybe you just like the English style? Which IPA's do you like?
But if not, maybe once you get used to the training wheel IPA's you'll be ready for the grown up ones.
