Yes. I am guilty of this myself and we have to stop doing that.

2014 is the year for Team USA to put their best foot forward. By 2018, I believe they will be too old (up front) to win - assuming the pros are in Korea.
In 2014, they have the goaltending and D to bring home gold. In Sochi they will peak.

Having said that...

i) It is on the big ice - not good for the U.S.;
ii) Canada is more talented;
iii) Russia has home ice.

It will be worth staying up to watch the games. May the best team (on paper ) win!
