Yeah the Phils had a few close runs where they almost snagged a wild card in the years before and finally made it in the last few games of the 07 season. Phillies had been building up to 2008, they didn't go from back to back first overall picks to best team in baseball. Nat's park was a ghost town a lot of this season, Phillies have been filling the park since Thome.
