The opposition talent has no bearing on the Spits effort but the opposition can have a big effect on how the Spitfires look. You say the Spits almost had Niagara but they didn't and they lost. I don't think DeKort had good D in front of him for the Niagara game I counted at least 15-20 very good scoring chances for the Dogs. That's no way to win hockey games.
