according to capgeek, you are right about it being a 2-way this year and 1-way next year but his ahl salary would be $300k this year which means he would have been subject to re-entry waivers. so my understanding is that under the 'redden rule' he will count against the cap no matter what.
kolarik, vernace, segal, collins, and newbury are all over the $105k threshold
