I can do that, and do it for maybe a few minutes forwards and backwards. But I spent about 30 minutes on just raw acceleration and hockey stops, as well as turning/skating backwards. I think the issue might be that I haven't had any strength training or exercise routine for a couple of years now, compounded by whatever poor technique I have and being somewhat knock-kneed.
