Hall and Eberle are no longer on cheap contracts. Adding Luongo will only hinder their ability to continue to re-sign their young guys like RNH and Yakupov in the coming years. This doesn't include any defensemen, goalies, or other forwards along the way. Adding Luongo doesn't make sense for Edmonton unless they are losing Horcoff or Hemsky.
