I too wondered this, as I went back on forth on cancellation. When I pressed my rep about it, he danced and just pointed to the 3 options and the fact that my money wasn't being lost. I figure you either have to give them an ultimatum or flat-out dispute the charge with your credit card company. Technically they have no case, since you paid for a service you haven't received.
