Well, people are being "cavalier" in this particular thread because the OP loathes Bergeron and made an inane statement.
But, as I've noted before, these guys are professional athletes and sometimes they're going to get hurt, whether they're in Switzerland or Charlestown.
Take for example Cam Atkinson:
Winger Cam Atkinson expects to be cleared by an eye doctor today to return to action with the Springfield Falcons after he suffered eye injuries when a resistance band slipped off his foot and hit him in the face on Sept. 30.
“The strap slipped off my foot and, like a giant rubber band, snapped me right in the eyes,” Atkinson said. “It was lights out. I couldn’t see a thing. My ears were ringing. My eyes started watering like crazy. Thank God I had people around me.”
Injuries happen, no matter what. It's a hazard of living, and of playing pro sports.
