As someone who lives in Florida, PREPARE NOW! Don't wait. Start tying down yard stuff. If you have a storm drain in front of your home make sure it is clear of leaves and debris. Go shopping and make sure you have supplies. Cut any tree limbs you may suspect will break. Most important, BE CAREFUL and STAY SAFE!!!
