The Toronto Maple Leafs continued the reshaping of their roster today, sending centre Tyler Bozak, along with prospect Spencer Abbott, to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for physical defenceman Robyn Regehr.

"Robyn is exactly the kind of player we want under Randy Carlyle's system, and will bring great leadership to this club both on and off the ice." Leafs GM TribalPhoenix stated tonight in a conference call.

"We had a surplus of centremen, and Tyler Bozak has been a great player for us. We had to give quality to get quality, and we think this is a deal that works for both sides. We thank Tyler and Spencer for their contributions, but are ecstatic to welcome Robyn to the Maple Leafs organization."

We like the addition of Tyler, and although he is not a #1 centreman as he has been miscast as in Toronto, we love the depth he gives us up the middle. This move allows us to tinker with Tyler Ennis and Steve Ott at left wing and center, and gives our top 9 multiple different looks. Robyn was deemed expendable because of our current number of NHL d-men. Also with Mark Pysyk and Brayden McNabb waiting in the wings, it was unlikely Robyn was going to be re-signed for the 2013-2014 season.

That said, Buffalo is still looking to move Adam Pardy and Ville Leino. We would like a solid bottom 6 player, preferably one who could be capable of 3rd line minutes and plenty of penalty kill time.
