I am one of cliffords biggest fans here i think alot of u need to realise he is only playing less then 10 mins a game. I think expectation of him being a huge scoring threat needs to be relaxed untill hes playing more mins agame. Also his so called taking two or three steps back umm i dont think so. He was playing with the great trent hunter ethan moreau and kevin westgrath for a good portion of the year. Not exactly great linemates even in his frist season he never got going till jan. he is a second half player. I think if he needs to get off to a better start somehow If he did alot of you wouldnt be on him so hard. I think he need to get around 12 mins this year So next year he can maybe move up a line with gagne and penner being freeagents i think he can move up. He also played more games then any other bottom 6 player showing the organization belives in the kid. Also this kid has alot of years ahead of him Hes only 21 lots of time to develope into a 3rd line player with ocassional 2nd line mins. I would love to see him play regualar with carter and richards I think we would see his offensive upside. I do agree he needs to cut down on the fights but not stop them completely we need do spred the fights out more nolon (if up ) king greene etc needs to step up more.
