But if we're realistic, there have simply been too many shoulder-related issues since he was drafted. I know friends in hockey who play and have had similar problems. They never go away. It's not chronic like something like arthritis, but the stability and solidity of the whole shoulder complex just can't be made back to knew and building up the muscular system of the shoulder is naturally much more difficult due to the stress that lifting weights and putting certain pressures on the joint cause.
These shoulder problems, once they've recurred a couple of times, never go away.
Of course, these friends are only playing semi-pro hockey where things are hardly as rough or intense as anything like the ECHL, AHL or yes, of course, the NHL.
Chances of him overcoming this issue to one day be a stable, productive NHLer are not on his side at this point.
