I agree with this as well. Much like Maroon, Guenin is basically at his best at that level. At the next level guys like this are at the fringes. It just shows how talented a player has to be to even play on the fourth line of an NHL team.

It's a bit of a cliche, but it's a playstyle thing as well. Some career AHLers may have more overall talent (offensive talent, specifically) than guys on the lower rungs of NHL teams, but they're missing one thing (defensive acumen, speed, etc) that those 4th liners do have, which makes them ineffective in the bigs.
