be happy, and hope he stays a few years .

Ryder- a good top 6 forward , who has some defensive lapses, is a sure 25-35
goal scorer, not flashy , BUT EXPECTING MORE IS FOOLISH

Koivu- what you see is what you get , injury prone, not a first line center anymore
terms of contract was a reach, but hopefully can continue 60+ a year
EXPECTING MORE , not going to happen as he turns 32 later in year .

Ribiero- as far as I am concerned - GET LOST - not a second center, defensivley
challenged, lacks strength, savy, and wont come through in the clutch .
If he stays because he is cheap , will be a future disapointment .

Kovalev- the only true offensive scorer, creater we have right now, if he stays
healthy should produce his 60-70 points , anything more is a reach.

the bottom line ,our top 2 lines , along with most of our Dmen will not get better ,
we need help to move forward. It is imperative that Komi, Perez, Kosty, Higgins, Pleks, Murray , take the next step next year , even a small one because they are the key , AND MARKOV MUST ESTABLISH HIMSELF AS a legit top 15 Dman in this league, and move to the category of ' SECOND TIER STAR DEFENSEMAN" .
BG must be creative and pull off a few key moves in the offseason .
I disagree...I think the team is close. Major changes right now is not necessary.
