It's up to Peca...if he starts acting like the Captain we all know he can be then he won't get traded. I want Peca to stay because I've always thought he is a great Captain and he proved that the first year he was here.
As far as Osgood and Laviolette...they both sucked!! Osgood is swiss cheese and Laviolette never should have been hired.
How does one "act like a captain"? Stop watching hollywood movies. If the team starts winning, he is a good captain. If not, he isn't. And why not critique the guy on his on-ice production (or lack thereof) instead of superficial junk like his demeanor in interviews (psycho-babble), or his decision to sell a piece of property. (God, do fans think they are owed the world by professional athletes!)
As for Osgood and Laviolette: true, the Islander never should have had a Stanley Cup winning goalie and the only coach to get them to the playoffs in the last 9 seasons. Milbury didn't deserve them. Nor, do
of their fans.
