6 of the 16 schools have enrollments of 7,900 or less. 8 are at 11,000 or less.

I'm sorry but you're just not going to have many people excited to watch a Fordham vs LaSalle game or a Butler vs UNC Charlotte game.
Yeah, it's a biproduct of schools of 4,000 to 12,000 in the A-10 and the big football schools cranking out 20,000 alums every year.
