I'm kinda with you on that one. I had a few big salary player I didn't want like Komisarek at 5 million... I had to buy out a few players, not sign others in order to pay my bigger guys. So I kinda got screwed since I, technically, could've just signed everybody, waited till the season started, protected my players, then resign while I make room by putting players in the minors.
I don't care either way, but I found a way to sign everybody, at the expense of other players... which is what usual NHL teams do.
for next season, I would not be leniant at all for this stuff.
